It was pointed out to me recently that, although we have moved, you'd never know it from looking at this blog. So here are few little corners of our home.
A shady spot for reading, knitting, bird watching. (Oops. The bird bath is full now.) Down on the left we found wild strawberries growing.
We also have a small box of bird and animal guides, notebooks, pencils, and binoculars by our family room window (through which those pictures were taken). Now Liam (and Mark and I) can identify a dozen or so birds by sight.
And of course we all know Arnold.
Liam's "workshop," at the end of his bed:
My mom gave Liam this table. The red bucket behind the chair is for Lego. The shelves under the table are full of paper.
Olivia's much-used reading spot (shelves scored on Craig's List).
My own reading spot in our bedroom. The chaise has been in Mark's family forever (most recently in our basement) and the blanket and pillow were gifts from my dad. I love them all together.
Our kitchen table. Another thing that's been in Mark's family/our basement. The room is pretty plain, but I tell myself it's Shakerish. Our neighbor's yard is huge and looking out there feels a bit farm- or park-like to me. Peaceful. (Just ignore the plastic plaything.) A lovely spot for playing games on a rainy summer evening.
So we really did move! And it really is good.
Your house looks so neat and inviting.
Sigh.
Happy new house, though.

Just wonderful. It seems very spacious yet cozy. And so very, very peaceful.
Fabulous. Yeah you!

I love Liam's workstation! It's so ... neat. Allie has one that's covered in, well, you name it: crayons, markers, paper, Polly Pockets, Barbie shoes, a bucket, a matrushka doll, and a sock are currently covering the table. I won't even start on the chairs.

Love those corners! Graceful living filled with thanks.
And thank you for posting photos of your beautiful spaces.
