It's been a while, huh? It's been Springish outside and the sunlight is back, so we've been spending more time doing stuff than sofa sitting. The blog suffers.
So what have we been up to?
1. Pajamarama
Paired with four-dollar Old Navy t-shirts, my pajama pant pattern is earning its keep (notice a second scary pirate pair for a friend). Liam is a size seven and Olivia is not, but that didn't stop me from making her a pair. I figured that I could crop the legs and increase the seam allowance and end up with manageable pants. And I did; sort of. In a bubble-butted, bow legged, pot-bellied sort of way. Poor girl. They're bad enough that she's noticed ("These pants aren't right") but not bad enough that she's refused to wear them.
2. Movie Mania
Movie night continues and it could be the best night of the week. Two thumbs up: Charlie Chaplin, Stomp Out Loud, E.T. (but be prepared to cough over some swearing*), Homeward Bound: the Incredible Journey, and Mary Poppins. Two thumbs down: Sleeping Beauty (scary), Blue Man Group (they wandered off), The Land Before Time (okay, maybe the kids did like that one, but never again).
3. Preschool
We're getting Olivia registered. I can't stand it. And why does this time of life come with a Spongebob obsession in my household?
4. Knitting
A sweater for me, and it's almost done. I'd totally lost the mojo after making those hats, perhaps because of the attention span required. But this sweater is super easy and cute. One point five sleeves left. Care to weigh in on the buttons? They're baffling. (Color is better on the second one; buttons better on the first).
5. Easter Candy
My Achilles heel.
*There's nothing like hearing your three-year-old say, "Pen!s bweath, what's pen!s bweath?" Good god.
Hurray for spring and sunshine! Pajamarama looks like fun. I definitely don't remember that line from ET! Not very family friendly. I was very little when I saw it, too, so I don't think Olivia will be scarred for life by that one.

ET, nooooo!!! My mom talked about that one for years. I cried so much I "had tears in my belly button." Sort of like Bambi. Mary Poppins is big in our house though. :)
I love the jammies!

HA HA HA! I will have to wait a bit before we watch that one. Connor will remember that line FOREVER if he hears it.
LOVE the sweater! :)

I vote for the blue buttons :)
And I have never had those marshmallow eggs (which surprises me since I love me some marshmallows) so now I must go buy some.

oh my god, your little asterisk item made me laugh out loud -- it's been a rough week, just what I needed!

had to go buy the pattern for that sweater. ;-)
BTW, I say you should go with the purplish/plum buttons. They bring the color out in the sweater very nicely.

When Ella was Olivia's age, she used to quote Ace Ventura's, "Holy sh!t balls!". Sometimes it could pass as snowballs, but most times it was quite audible. :)
All the buttons match in their own way. Good luck with that. That's going to be one awesome sweater!
